Middle School Shadow Teacher/Behavior Specialist
 
Seeking a Shadow Teacher / Behavior Specialist for 2019-2020 school year.

Work closely in a classroom environment with children with behavioral needs to help focus, control behavior and maximize information retention.
Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), including: incentives, behavioral records, how to control behavior and working closely with student support team
Social-emotional skill development
Assist teachers in environmental modifications for increased success
Partner and co-teach and plan with teachers to provide scaffolding and pre-teach concepts to target student.
Provide consultation and support to administrators and teachers in dealing with behavioral challenges
Implement the school's mission statement
Effectively model and encourage multicultural awareness, tolerance and understanding
Demonstrate a commitment to professional development
Support school-wide projects such as student activities, staff development, and community efforts.

Requirements:

Mandatory:

Bachelor's Degree
Experience with Special Education/ Behavioral Disorders
Significant recent professional development and engaged learner
Extensive computer skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Track record of a positive attitude and healthy influence on school community and culture
Outstanding collaborative skills and a desire to work in a team-focused environment
Experience with writing and co-creating modified curricula

Preferred:

Master’s Degree
Teacher Certification in Special Education/ Behavioral Disorders
International school experience
Expertise working with a broad range of students (EAL, learning challenges, gifted)
