Manage, mentor and support a group of UX professionals to deliver high quality, on-time design deliverables, accounting for on-the-fly program needs and changes as they occur.
Facilitate success of direct reports in meeting their (and their team's) goals by supporting them in turning their strengths into higher performance, and by helping them improve on their weaknesses.
Perform all administrative HR tasks, including goal setting and performance reviews for the UX/Design staff.
Establish a clear framework of best-in-class principles to guide the work of the UX team and define the overall UX/UI strategy & vision for our products, collaborating with other departments to ensure full alignment
Optimize team performance and department output by implementing processes and working methodologies that enable your team to iterate and refine world-class solutions
Lead the UX design and research discipline, continually improving UX capabilities, tools, processes, and best practices
Responsible for all UX project deliverables
Keep well in touch with all areas of project management, to ensure that your team is on schedule and succeeding
Collaborate with Cross functional teams to maintain high levels of visibility, efficiency and collaboration
Define customer-centric UI/UX measurement criteria and test to ensure the User Experience delivers positive results
Make sure that the process for UI/UX testing and design is an integral part of the product development process.
8+ years of progressive UI/UX design experience in web and mobile environments.
5+ years in a leadership role on a UX/UI team
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required; Master’s degree in relevant field a plus
Proven experience building and leading teams
Expert knowledge of modern user-centered design and research methodologies
Expert knowledge in mobile first/friendly centered design
Solid understanding of UX as it relates to email marketing and digital ads
Experience managing team of UX professionals and delivering projects in a cross-functional inter-departmental environment
Good communicator who can present concepts and ideas to all levels of the company
Demonstrated ability to navigate complex problems in developing holistic solutions for product UX ecosystems
Knowledge and experience with all various platforms human interface guidelines: iOS, Android, and connected platforms
Ability to manage multiple projects and an ability to prioritize and organize to meet tasks and deadlines
Knowledge about trends and innovations in experience design, technology, development, visual design, art, communications design and product design
MS Office expert level in Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent relationship skills.
