Legal and Compliance Counsel - Bilingual
 
We are looking for Legal and Compliance Counsel to join our team. This position will report to the Head of Legal and Compliance.

The primary responsibilities of this position will be to assist in handling strategic, as well as day to day legal and regulatory compliance matters. You will work directly with and support various key groups and functions in the group, including our cryptocurrency activities, product, marketing, operations, customer support and management, providing them with effective and concise communication of the implications of laws, regulations, case law and/or policy for the company.

You will work on designing and implementing compliance programs (such as GDPR and AML related). You will also be reviewing, negotiating and drafting commercial agreements relating to our products and services, and assist on corporate matters. Finally, you will be responsible for maintaining the company's legal and compliance records.

Education, Training & Experience

4 + years experience practicing law, preferably in the technology sector, at a leading law firm or in-house in a tech/payments industry or at a relevant regulatory body
Background and experience in payment services regulation is a big plus; also relevant background and experience in at least some of the following key areas: Cryptocurrencies and relevant regulations, commercial law, privacy, and AML.
BS degree in Law or J.D. degree
Licensed to practice law.
Hebrew and English as a mother tongue or at an equivalent level – note that a very large part of the materials you will research, review, and draft and the advice you will communicate will be in English.
Strong academic credentials.
Sharp analytical, research and organizational abilities. Excellent business judgment with an ability to think strategically.
Excellent communication skills, oral as well as written.
Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad range of legal matters.
Demonstrated ability to complete several simultaneous projects on a deadline.
Positive attitude, exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality – a must.
