About the role

You are a Life & Health Claims Expert with a deep knowledge of the Israeli Life & Health insurance Market.

So this might be your next challenge:

Develop and implement a market-specific, portfolio-directed, claims management service that delivers cost effective claims liability management in accordance with the company's strategy to business risk and client relationships. (This may include overseeing projects and colleagues.)
Work with cross functional experts, in accordance with an overall strategic approach to manage our business risks and client relationships to deliver the above
Perform claims audits and deep dives to review the clients' management of claims portfolios, taking opportunities to make a positive impact
Support the development and implementation of BM Solutions in EMEA and especially in Israel
Give technical claims input to new product development and treaties to enhance the sustainability and profitability of such business
Provide independent delivery of the claims value chain (e.g. opinions on complex claims) and technically correct claims management decisions within authority, while applying the appropriate balance of risk management and service in line with Right

Service Right Client

Actively and appropriately manage a portfolio of new and existing claims in accordance with our claims philosophy, the signed Treaty, policy terms and agreed service standards
Build constructive relationships with clients' Claims Managers to assist in building a deep understanding of the client that allows us to meet our BM inforce goals while satisfying the needs of our clients
Proactively engage with and influence stakeholders across the company, including Client Markets, Underwriting, Actuarial, Technical Accounting, Medical and the wider Claims community, to gather insights, support market solutions, facilitate alignment of deliverables and utilize available resources
Share claims trends, analyze and interpret data, identify and implement appropriate claims interventions to improve the portfolio experience
Promote our claims profile and expertise in the market, developing links with influential client individuals, with relevant medical experts and 3rd party service providers, representing company in trade working parties or similar bodies, keeping close to regulatory developments, and delivering training and thought leadership to clients
Support the maintenance of an effective management information (MI) framework to check claims experience and monitor this for impacts on experience. This to include the identification of medical/socio-economic/regulatory and legal/cultural developments that impact on customer behaviour and the ability to manage claims
About the team

Life & Health Business Management EMEA is responsible for managing the inforce business. There are teams leading Claims, Technical Accounting, Actuarial Management, and Portfolio Management activities. Life & Health Business Management team works collaboratively with our internal partners and client companies, sharing insights, building best practices and leveraging our global knowledge and expertise effectively. The team aims to actively manage the in-force business to deliver maximum shareholder value and to protect the L&H balance sheet.

You will directly report to the L&H Claims Manager currently responsible for Israel, Turkey, Italy, Belgium, Nordics and Baltics, Netherlands, Luxemburg.

About You

You have a formal qualification or study in either business, financial services, law or medical discipline
You have at least 10 years of experience in direct insurance or reinsurance claims management in life insurance, health, critical illness and disability products
You have in-depth knowledge of the Israeli insurance market, with a proven personal network of industry peers
You have significant awareness of market and portfolio dynamics, including ability to anticipate and mitigate potential risks & opportunities
You have client relationship management experience and you bring the soft skills to carry out these responsibilities
You bring strong negotiation, communication, influencing/change management, project management and presentation skills
You have excellent numeracy & analytical capabilities to consider data, identify anomalies and use information to develop action plans
You have the courage to challenge the status quo and to explore new ideas that improve our business
While having an eye for detail, you have the ability to step back and consider the wider commercial perspective
You have a strong problem solving approach and are keen to take ownership
You demonstrate the ability to explore new ideas and develop solutions, followed by effective implementation
You are a strong and enthusiastic team player
You bring excellent oral and written communication skills
You are fluent in Hebrew and have a good knowledge of English; other European languages are of advantage
