Global Deal Desk Manager
The Sales organization is looking for an experienced Deal Desk Manager to help us maximize our sales department’s effectiveness.
This position will allow an individual, with strong project management and business skills, to develop a deep understanding of the growing company business, through the management of contract review and execution of operational projects in support of the Sales and Finance teams.
In this position, you will get to work collaboratively with the Sales, Legal and Finance to ensure that deals are structured and negotiated to comply with our policies and processes.
What will you actually be doing?
The Deal Desk Manager will be responsible for managing the team that supports the Sales organization in deal structuring; pricing, contract reviews and non-standard terms.
Manage the order management function for organization and assist Sales with drafting and delivering order forms.
Assist in developing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring policies and procedures related to the revenue cycle to ensure the quality of billing functions and systems.
Build documentation of contracting guidelines and methodology.
Manage the day-to-day quote and pricing approvals processes, ensuring compliance with published sales and business approval policies.
Read, interpret and escalate contractual language to ensure transactions comply with revenue recognition and business operational policies.
Maintain an agreed upon SLA on deal turnaround times.
Provide ongoing recommendations and lead improvements of deal desk and company deal policies.
Drive projects and initiatives focused on improving productivity and simplifying processes throughout the finance operations and sales organization.
Deliver training to new sales people on deal approval process and ongoing training.
Identify and analyze problems and determine solutions in order to effectively resolve issues and continuously improve business processes and systems.
The main function of the Deal Desk is to manage processes, systems and provide guidance to the Sales teams in the development of proposals and quotes for existing and prospective customers.
Provide technical advice to resolve complex billing and order discrepancies and assist team with issues
Design, implement and manage sales deal desk.
Write and maintain up to date documentation.
Provide training for new hires and ongoing training for organization on contracting policies and processes.
Create KPIs to track processes and effectiveness of deal execution.
Project management in support of strategic objectives as defined by company management.
5+ years experience working in SaaS: sales, deal desk, finance or operations
2+ years experience directly managing a team
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Must be a self-managing, detailed oriented, motivated individual and have the ability to work in a deadline driven environment
Must be able to work well with sales as well as internal departments
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel advanced functions and Sales Force
Experience with Business Intelligence, Reporting Analytics Tools and Enterprise quoting and approval workflow systems
Available as needed in evening hours to work with US Deal Desk team members and US Sales Leadership
A successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to proactively and effectively work together with all organizational levels within a fast-moving high-technology company, particularly interfacing between Sales teams and internal cross-functional stakeholders.
