Unemployment rate stays low in Israel
Israel's unemployment remained at 6.3% in trend figure in August 2010, the same as in the two preceding months, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported today.
The unemployment rate was 7% in January. It fell 0.7 percentage points (10%) over the next eight months. The unemployment rate was 7.6% in August 2009.
The last time the unemployment rate was lower than 6.3% was in October 2008, when the rate was 6.2%. It hit a low of 5.9% in June-July of that year.
