Plenty of Jobs at Israeli Hotels
Israeli hotels are searching for some 1,500 workers to fill positions over the Passover holiday. Yoav Bachar, responsible for manpower issues at the Israel Hotel Association, said that over 10,000 workers will be on duty on Seder night, all of them earning double the amount of money they would earn on a regular night. Altogether, he said, hotels will be paying out salaries amounting to NIS 3.5 million for that night of work.
Hotels in Eilat are having an especially hard time filling open positions, Bachar said, despite offering an average of NIS 6,750 a month in salary. Hotels in Eilat have open positions for all manner of hotel workers, including waiters, cooks, security personnel, and lifeguards.
