Jobseekers turn primarily to Internet in search

80% of jobseekers use the Internet as their primary source of information according to the TIM/Teleseker survey of leading websites' weekly exposure rates for July 2008. The secondary source of information for jobs is the print media, cited by 69% of respondents, followed by personal contacts, cited by 55% of respondents.

Among websites, 46% of jobseekers use Drushim, 39%, Alljobs, and both AACI Jobnet and Yad2 are turned to by 36%.

Among websites in general, no change occurred in the top three rankings compared with the previous survey. Google Israel is number one, with a weekly exposure rate of 90.3%, followed by Walla Communications Ltd. (TASE: WALA) with 71.6%, and Ynet with 60.6%. Walla! continues to widen its gap over ynet, and narrow the gap with Google Israel.

Nana10 increased its weekly exposure rate to 35.4% in July from 32.7% in June.

Among business news sites, "Globes" had an 18% lead over TheMarker as a source of jobs.
