Employment service: Demand for workers down in October
Demand for workers via the Israel National Employment Service (INES) decreased in October by 17.6% compared with September, according to employment service director-general Esther Dominicini.
Despite the decrease, the employment service's monthly report shows a rise of 59.5% in demand for workers over October 2005.
The employment service says that since 2004 there has been a general rise in demand for workers via the service, owing to the tightening and broadening of the service's connections with employers. The highest demand was for industrial workers, security guards, cleaners and maintenance workers.
