High tech brings down industrial output.
The unemployment rate rose to 6.6% of the civilian workforce in October 2010, returning to its level of March, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported today. The unemployment rate was 6.5% in July-September and 6.4% in May-June.
The Central Bureau of Statistics also reported that industrial output fell 8.5% in August-October, mainly due to a 17.4% drop in high-tech output. Excluding high tech, industrial output fell 1.1% in August-October.
