Laboratory Procurement Director
As the Laboratory Procurement Director, you will be responsible for managing materials planning, materials control, materials strategy, procurement scheduling, and all material and equipment initiatives that are associated with Israel’s largest COVID-19 laboratory.

What you'll do:

Manage the procurement of equipment and materials in the lab, including procurement scheduling (locally and from abroad), lab floor control, and inventory planning and control
Ensure the achievement of all purchasing targets of the lab (supplier support, cost, on-time delivery of materials, quality, capacity, qualification of parts, processes, and equipment)
Supervise the monitoring of inventories, track the progress of production (tests and consumption rate of materials), and review factors that affect production schedules
Manage suppliers, and develop vendor relationships
Manage inventory budget
Work with Lab Shift Managers and the R&D Manager to ensure lab needs are met
Maintain optimum inventory levels to insure on-time deliveries to meet lab requirements while maximizing turns, minimizing carrying costs and minimizing premium transportation charges by implementing On The Day (OTD) supply chain strategies
Work with the lab teams to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity and delivery in accordance with the lab’s KPI’s
Comply with the company’s purchasing policies and procedures with regards to the lab’s procurement process.

What you bring:

B.Sc. or B.A. or higher, preferably in Engineering or Life Sciences
5+ years of similar experience, preferably in laboratory management or scientific operations
Ability to work independently, take initiatives, and prioritize effectively
Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems, and propose solutions relating to laboratory organization and management
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, ERP, MRP, and applicable Materials Management Software, including experience in generating and analyzing statistical forecasts using spreadsheets and other forecasting tools
Knowledge of Israeli health and safety standards and regulation compliance
Fluent English
