Looking for a results-driven Head of Business Development, Medical Device Partnerships to lead our artificial intelligence (AI) partnerships with medical device companies.
Head of Business Development will map and engage to partner with medical device companies as counterparties to our technologies, determining areas where our technology may impact counterparty’s ability to significantly improve quality of care or predictive and preemptive treatment.
●Identify and drive high-impact, scalable, strategic business development initiatives and partnerships for our Medical artificial intelligence team in the medical device space
●Map medical device vendors, technologies and offerings, identifying and driving opportunities in the areas of imaging and computer and natural language processing for AI driven technology innovations while establishing strong industry relationships.
●Gain insights as to vendor clinical strategy, understand complex software/device and its applicability to users, educating the teams to execute against clinical standards and goals
●Identify partner technology and solution gaps which our AI solutions and development capabilities can enhance. Translate unmet vendor and market needs to identify potential new product and business opportunities
●Lead, influence and collaborate with functional teams to develop strategies and business cases for new opportunities that are aligned with our strategic goals. Formulate, present, negotiate, and execute on opportunity exploration and evaluation
●Engage vendor business and product leaders to introduce and drive partnership exploration processes. Lead cross-functional teams in support of the opportunity
●Determine screening criteria, value creation and rationale for targeting new opportunities. Identify and evaluate critical assumptions, risks, and opportunity
●Build external relationships via trade shows, conferences, networking, and other new sources of information, intelligence, and insights
●Provide recommendations and present to senior leadership on new strategies, opportunities, and tactics
●BS/BA degree with about 7 years of business experience having an MBA/other advanced degree required
●Business development, product and clinical background/knowledge and medical/scientific degree - strong advantage
●Prior experience in medical imaging - strong advantage
●Experience in analyzing, developing and presenting business thesis as part of decisioning process required
●Strong business, interpersonal, organizational, project management, analytical, decision-making skills are required. Experience in a customer/external facing role is key
●Ability to effectively communicate and influence a broad variety of business leaders, both internally and externally and of varying levels from functional personnel to senior leaders of companies is required
●Ability to prioritize tasks, manage several projects simultaneously, and also be able to eliminate unproductive, low priority, or low probability tasks and projects is required.
●Experience leading the definition of technical product requirements, including working with engineers, product, clinical and marketing teams
