Job Opportunity: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our finance team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Finance to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finances. The successful candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. In this position, you’ll be responsible for handling the books and records for our growing organization. Primary responsibilities include reconciliations, AP, AR, Payroll, Journal Entries, etc.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of bookkeeping experience within a high tech startup and is a self-motivated, collaborative team-player.

Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
Bringing the books to the trial balance stage
Set up payments in bank to make sure all vendors are paid in a timely manner
Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
Tag and monitor fixed assets
Issue invoices to customers, tracking AR invoices and ensure that receivables are collected promptly
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
Process payroll in a timely manner
Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management
Comply with local, state, and government reporting requirements. and reporting to tax and social security authorities.
Follow accounting policies and procedures
Provide clerical, operational and administrative support to management as requested
Credit cards reconciliation – monitoring the transactions daily and making sure receipts are received and saved, verifying, allocating, and recording the transactions in our book
Expenses reimbursement – gathering the employees’ receipts and travel expenses reports, checking the reimbursement amount, saving and filing documentation


Minimum Level 2-3 Bookkeeping diploma
Certified bookkeeper and payroll controller in Israel
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Strong organizational and analytical skills with an extremely detail oriented approach
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Proficient in Hashashavet, Priority, Excel and Google Suite
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Experienced with reporting to tax and social security authorities (monthly and annual payroll and supplier payments)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
English proficiency - mother tongue level required
Experienced with SaasOptics – Advantage
